Content Writer (m/f)

Job description

We’re an early-stage venture capital firm primarily focused on SaaS, online marketplaces, and frontier tech. We are a small, international team with different backgrounds, opinions, interests, and tastes. What we share is a passion for startups, a commitment to meritocracy, and the aspiration to be what we call a “good VC”.

Your role in a snapshot

At Point Nine we love to share stories, knowledge, and ideas with the amazing community we’re operating in. To take our current effort to the next level we’re looking for an experienced technology writer whose role will be to craft amazing articles based on interviews she/he’ll conduct with the P9 team and the entrepreneurs of our network.

You’ll be mostly working on the following tasks:

Content production:

  • Plan, organize and conduct interviews with the Point Nine team, entrepreneurs from the #p9family, and external experts.

  • Based on your interviews and other research, write excellent blog posts (see an example of the type of content we want to share).

Content distribution:

  • Publish articles on our Medium channel.

  • Distribute new posts on our social media accounts, newsletter, and other relevant places.

Content planning:

  • Create and maintain a calendar of coming content and interviews, shared with the whole team.

  • You write and speak English as well as if it was your mother tongue.

  • You have a flawless command of grammar and orthography and an excellent style.

  • You have good people skills (communication, empathy and good listener).

  • You are passionate about startups and technology. Knowledge in SaaS and online marketplaces is a plus.

  • You have a background as a tech journalist or professional content writer (minimum 1-2 years of experience).

About the opportunity

  • Get access to amazing people.

  • Benefit from great exposure as it is not a ghostwriting job.

  • Work with people who are used to writing content themselves, no education or heavy lifting to be done (here is our blog).

  • Freelancing with compensation to be discussed based on experience and skills.

If you're interested we'd like to ask you to send us:

  • Your CV and any other information you think might be helpful.

  • Your portfolio of published articles.

  • Your professional online presences handles (LinkedIn, Twitter, Quora etc.).

Thank you very much in advance!
